We are seeking a results-oriented Accounting Lead to lead the general ledger and tax functions within our finance organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial results while maintaining compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company accounting policies. This role will be critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting and strengthening the integrity of our accounting processes.
Job Responsibility:
Overseeing the monthly general ledger close process, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
Reviewing and approving balance sheet reconciliations and partnering with the Head of Accounting & Compliance and CFO to validate reported financial results
Collaborating with external tax advisors to ensure the accuracy of all tax-related balances and compliance with reporting requirements
Planning and compliance are key processes you will also coordinate for the Accounting team
As a leader of the team, you will serve as a subject-matter expert to provide guidance and training to the Accounting team members
Requirements:
Excellent knowledge of banking/financial business operations and risk-based auditing
Strong analytical ability and business acumen
Solid understanding of basic accounting concepts (US GAAP & IFRS)
Strong & Effective communication, relationship building, teamwork, problem solving, organizational and task management skills
Ability to multi-task many items at once in a deadline driven environment
Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
Results driven, flexible and agile
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is required
Master’s Degree in Business Administration is preferable
CPA or equivalent
+5 years of Auditing or Accounting experience with a focus on financial risk and regulatory requirements
Demonstrated ability and knowledge of various software packages, particularly all Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel & Access)
