Job Description:

We are currently seeking a motivated accounting intern who is ready to apply knowledge of accounting terms and principles to an authentic real-world experience. At LMH you can gain experience in auditing, tax planning and compliance, not-for-profit reporting, estate and trust reporting, financial statement preparation, accounting services, and consulting. You will have the opportunity to develop personal relationships with your clients and support their most challenging business needs.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
Perform audit, review, compilation, and agreed-upon procedure engagements, including preparation of financial statements
Complete a variety of projects within engagement timeline and budget guidelines
Learn and effectively utilize firm tax and audit software to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance the quality of service to clients
Perform self-review of work
Perform accounting and tax technical research
Develop strong relationships with firm professionals
Participate in firm training and activities
Work with other team members on professional development of both technical and soft skills

Requirements:

Must be a recent graduate or in process of completing a BA in accounting
Proficiency with computers and different accounting software programs
Must have completed introductory accounting courses and have a basic understanding of financial principals
Ability to handle multiple engagements simultaneously
Service-minded with an emphasis on integrity
Excellent verbal communications skills
Positive and professional Attitude
Must be a team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on new challenge
