For an international industrial company, we are currently looking for a qualified professional in the field of financial accounting and controlling to support the regional sales organization in Switzerland. This role oversees all financial processes in the region, coordinates accounting activities, and provides strategic support to the Local Management in financial decision making and international reporting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage, control and analyze the company’s financial information (P&L and BS) in all aspects, including Annual Statutory Accounts, Reporting, Budget, Forecast
  • Ensure the company complies with Tax and Legal mandatories from local institutions
  • Management support for Local business needs and HQ
  • Ad-hoc reports, to define and run the reports considered necessary for the correct management of the business
  • Present monthly financial key magnitudes to the General Manager and Area Controller
  • Monitor the company’s budget to identify deviations and propose action plans
  • Guide management to meet company targets and react according to the evolution of key figures (EBITDA, Stock, NWC, FCF)
  • Oversee and knowledge of the operative processes (sales, warehouse/logistic operations) and the financial impact
  • Validate internal controls when necessary and ensure consistency in the information
  • Collaborate with local management on key financial topics, including rebates, payment terms, collections, ageing follow-up and margins
  • Perform monthly closing activities (P&L and Balance Sheet), including accruals, provisions, reconciliations and intercompany processes
  • Personnel expenses: Contact and report to HR Area responsible closing figures and cooperate with the Budget and Forecast workings
  • Work with HR/Payroll providers on monthly payroll processes and manage personnel- related provisions
  • Capex: monthly follow-up vs budget and Fixed assets valuation
  • Treasury: cash forecast and Treasury Dept HQ requirements. Control cash & Banks balances
  • Statistic Analysis: Sales & Margin as per local business requires by customer, family, SKU, or specific operations to evaluate
  • Coordination in internal/external statistic requirement
  • Internal audit: To implement on time and form any deviation detected by Internal audit department. Support on the weakness of the processes arisen
  • Monthly review with General Manager and Area controller
  • Position as a pivot between the Company and HQ

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of professional Finance experience with a solid background in Financial Accounting and Controlling tasks
  • Deep understanding of Swiss accounting standards, IFRS, and the local tax and regulatory framework
  • Proven experience preparing: Swiss VAT returns, Swiss social security declarations and Swiss corporate income tax returns
  • Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ideally, strong experience in intercompany reconciliation (P&L and Balance Sheet), monthly closings and international group reporting to HQ
  • A reliable, proactive and collaborative approach, with a clear focus on supporting business decisions and continuous improvement
  • Fluency in German and English is required
