We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to join our team in Rockledge, Florida. This is a contract position with the potential for a long-term role, where you will play a key role in managing financial operations and ensuring accurate accounting practices. Job Responsibility:

  • Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain financial reports and spreadsheets
  • Reconcile accounts regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with general ledger maintenance, including posting journal entries and verifying account balances
  • Collaborate with team members to support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Review financial documents for compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions and provide support during audits
  • Monitor financial data to ensure consistency and adherence to established procedures
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting tasks

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable and other accounting functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use advanced formulas and features
  • Strong knowledge of account reconciliation processes
  • Familiarity with general ledger systems and accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills for working with team members and external stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
  • Prior experience in a contract-to-permanent position or similar role is preferred
