We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Jersey City, New Jersey. This hybrid position offers a mix of remote work and in-office responsibilities, providing flexibility while maintaining collaboration. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in QuickBooks and Excel, including proficiency in VLOOKUP and pivot tables, to support various accounting and administrative tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Export and organize financial data from QuickBooks into Excel for analysis and reporting
Assist in audit preparation by supporting documentation and filing requirements
Process invoices and handle tasks related to accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform accurate data entry to maintain financial records and databases
Utilize Excel tools such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables for efficient data management
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial processes
Maintain organized and accessible filing systems for audit and accounting purposes
Address discrepancies and resolve issues in financial documents as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience with QuickBooks and Excel, including advanced skills in VLOOKUP and pivot tables
Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial documentation
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
Excellent organizational skills to manage filing and audit support tasks
Effective communication skills for resolving discrepancies and coordinating with team members
Prior experience in invoice processing and financial data management
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
