Our client, a well-established construction company in San Diego, is seeking a highly organized and reliable Accounting Clerk to support their accounting and office operations. Job Responsibility:
Process daily invoices, vendor statements, and expense documentation
Assist with job costing, coding, and project-related financial tracking
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Maintain physical and digital filing systems
Reconcile vendor accounts and follow up on discrepancies
Assist with payroll data entry and timesheet collection
Provide administrative support to the accounting team and project managers
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documentation for project audits
Support end-of-month tasks and help maintain accurate records for construction projects
Requirements:
1+ year of accounting or administrative experience
Strong attention to detail and excellent data-entry accuracy
Experience in construction accounting or job costing a major plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
Experience with Sage, Foundation, Viewpoint, or QuickBooks is highly preferred
Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday
