Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Troy, Michigan. This long-term contract position requires working on-site five days a week and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen eye for accuracy in handling various accounting tasks.

Job Responsibility:

Organize and scan W9 forms to the appropriate drive for record-keeping
Maintain physical and digital filing systems to ensure easy access and compliance
Conduct thorough reviews of vendor records for accuracy and completeness
Update and correct vendor information as needed to ensure accurate documentation
Manage vendor accounts by blocking and unblocking records as required
Process vendor division pushdowns and handle simple update requests efficiently
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and adherence to accounting protocols
Utilize accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks, to complete tasks effectively
Perform data entry and invoice processing with precision and attention to detail

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Strong skills in data entry and invoice processing
Exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
High level of attention to detail to ensure error-free work
Effective communication skills for working with vendors and team members
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
