Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our clients team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, performing essential accounting tasks, and supporting business operations. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the food and food processing industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurately record and maintain financial documents, including ledgers, journals, and other records
  • Process accounts receivable tasks, such as preparing invoices, posting payments, and reconciling balances
  • Conduct inventory reconciliation and assist in maintaining bills of materials and cost calculations
  • Support month-end reporting activities and ensure timely completion of financial procedures
  • Perform bank reconciliations and other general accounting functions
  • Collaborate with departments, vendors, and customers to address financial inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Dynamics GP to manage data and generate reports
  • Assist with filing, document management, and other administrative duties as needed
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting systems and processes
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the finance team

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required
  • a Bachelor’s degree in these fields is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within industrial cost accounting systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, QuickBooks, and other accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Excellent mathematical skills, with familiarity in arithmetic, algebra, and statistical calculations
  • Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, with a solid understanding of English grammar
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in financial documentation
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
