We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Sacramento, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial records, maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting administrative tasks. Job Responsibility:
Prepare, edit, and format various contracts, agreements, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
Organize and complete client forms, applications, and compliance-related documentation in a timely manner
Manage and maintain digital files, templates, and correspondence for streamlined record-keeping
Review and code expenses using platforms like Expensify, ensuring accuracy and proper categorization
Enter financial data into QuickBooks Online and Excel, while assisting in payroll input and coding
Track and organize mileage logs, reimbursements, and expenses under the accountable plan
Develop and maintain spreadsheets to monitor program, financial, and operational data
Provide reminders, follow-ups, and coordination for ongoing projects and tasks
Facilitate communication between internal teams, external partners, and government agencies as needed
Requirements:
Proven ability to think critically and solve problems effectively
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data reporting
Proficiency in document formatting and editing using Microsoft Word
Strong ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks
Quick adaptability to new systems such as Expensify and payroll platforms
Experience with QuickBooks Online and familiarity with bookkeeping procedures
