Job Description:

Robert Half is partnering with a growing, small manufacturing company in Charlotte, NC, to find a versatile and skilled Accounting Clerk. If you are someone who enjoys variety in your work, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is excited about wearing multiple hats, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Job Responsibility:

Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including vendor management and customer invoicing
Oversee billing and ensure timely and accurate creation of invoices
Manage collections by communicating with customers to resolve outstanding payments
Process payroll time entry, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
Perform light purchasing tasks, including coordinating orders and managing vendor relationships
Support management with ad hoc accounting projects as needed to meet business objectives
Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality

Requirements:

Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping, particularly in payables, receivables, and collections
Familiarity with payroll systems and time entry processes
Experience with or knowledge of billing and basic purchasing functions
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in accounting processes
Proficiency in accounting software and basic Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
