We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for an automotive organization in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This Contract to Permanent position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing both payables and receivables in a fast-paced environment. The role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and supporting accounting workflows through timely data entry and system updates.
Job Responsibility
Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare payments with accuracy and timeliness
Manage customer billing activities, record incoming payments, and help maintain current accounts receivable balances
Enter financial information into accounting systems and review entries to ensure complete and accurate records
Reconcile account details and investigate discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and account balances
Use QuickBooks and related tools to maintain organized accounting data and generate routine financial information
Communicate with internal teams and external contacts to resolve payment questions, billing issues, and missing documentation
Assist with invoice processing activities and support accounting procedures that improve day-to-day efficiency
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in an accounting clerk or similar finance support role
Hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Working knowledge of QuickBooks and general accounting software
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Experience reviewing and processing invoices in a detail-focused business environment
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple assignments effectively
Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams and external partners
