We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a growing education-focused organization in Auburn, Washington. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who brings strong invoice processing experience, sharp accuracy, and a solid foundation in day-to-day accounting support. The position is fully onsite and will play a key role in helping the finance team manage increasing transaction volume tied to childcare support programs. You will contribute to timely payments, organized records, and dependable administrative support in a high-accountability environment.
Job Responsibility:
Review and process a high volume of invoices tied to childcare services, ensuring payment details are accurate and complete
Calculate billable amounts using varied rate structures, including hourly and monthly payment models for different provider types
Verify timesheets and supporting documentation so entries are complete, properly recorded, and ready for payment processing
Assist with accounts payable activities and related accounting tasks to help reduce outstanding backlog and maintain timely workflows
Provide front desk and administrative assistance as needed, including responding to routine inquiries and supporting daily office operations
Maintain organized filing systems and help convert paper-based records into electronic documentation for easier tracking and storage
Enter financial and operational data into internal systems with a high level of precision and consistency
Collaborate with the finance lead and internal stakeholders to support smooth handling of invoices, records, and payment-related questions
Requirements:
At least 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support experience in a high-volume environment
Prior experience with accounts payable, invoice processing, and data entry is required
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with calculations, timesheets, and payment records
Familiarity with accounting or business systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV
experience with Procare is a plus
Working knowledge of Excel for basic tracking, review, and reconciliation tasks
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in an onsite office setting
Clear communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to administrative and customer-facing support
