We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this Contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with established policies. This role involves handling various accounting tasks, including reconciliations, payroll support, and processing payments and reimbursements. This is a part time based role, that is typically 18-24 hours per week.
Job Responsibility:
Deposit checks and cash receipts promptly and accurately with designated banking institutions
Process vendor invoices, credit card purchases, and employee reimbursements in compliance with payment policies
Prepare and submit tax reports electronically with precision and timeliness
Reconcile bank, payroll, and credit card accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
Assist in processing employee payroll, including overtime payments and updates to tax and benefits information
Organize and maintain payment documentation and personnel records in accordance with established policies
Ensure compliance with travel and expense reimbursement policies by accurately verifying and processing claims
Requirements:
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
Experience with account and bank reconciliations
Strong data entry skills with a focus on numerical accuracy
Familiarity with payroll processing and related systems
Knowledge of tax reporting and compliance procedures
Excellent organizational skills to manage records and documentation
Ability to adhere to financial policies and meet deadlines consistently
