The deco lounge is the beating heart of the hotel, it's a transitional space: from day to night, indoor to outdoor, with a diversified food and beverage offer. We are seeking a detail-orientated Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic finance team in a Part-Time capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and account statements, and ensuring compliance with company policies. You will bring your passion for numbers, attention to detail, and efficiency to every task, balancing accuracy with the fast-paced demands of a busy finance department in a luxury environment.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate financial and accounting records by reviewing figures, postings, and documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding
Record, store, access, and analyze financial data using accounting systems, journals, ledgers, and electronic spreadsheets
Prepare, reconcile, and distribute financial, accounting, auditing, payroll, and statistical reports in accordance with company procedures
Complete period-end and month-end closing procedures and prepare required reports
Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue invoices, bills, and account statements
Organize, secure, and maintain financial files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in compliance with document retention, confidentiality, and cash-handling policies
Generate financial and accounting reports from computerized systems as needed
Follow all company and department policies and procedures
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary financial information and protect company assets
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders
Prepare and review financial documentation accurately and completely
Develop and maintain effective working relationships across departments and support team objectives
Perform basic physical tasks, including lifting items up to 10 pounds
Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements:
Experience working in a similar financial administrative setting
Strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail
Immaculate personal presentation standards and excellent attention to detail
Passion and knowledge about accounting services
Excellent communication skills
Full working rights in Australia
Willing to be flexible is essential as shifts will include weekends and public holidays
