Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of invoices related to the fuel industry. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with vendors and team members to maintain seamless financial operations.

Job Responsibility:

Process and reconcile invoices with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure proper financial documentation
Communicate effectively with vendors and clients to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations
Conduct detailed research to identify and address any financial discrepancies
Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial reports using Microsoft Excel
Perform data entry tasks with precision to support billing and invoicing processes
Utilize accounting software such as Oracle and QuickBooks to streamline financial tasks
Track and monitor financial records to ensure compliance with company procedures
Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field
Proficiency in account reconciliation and invoice processing
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures
Skilled in using Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and tracking
Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle and QuickBooks
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and team members
