Accounting Clerk

• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, posting transactions, and reconciling accounts
• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with contract terms and billing requirements
• Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and facilitate timely payments while adhering to company policies and procedures
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues promptly
• Assist in the processing of biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation, including filing and organizing invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents
• Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting tasks
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and operations, to ensure accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions
• Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding billing, payments, and account balances in a professional and timely manner
• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and contribute to process improvements

• A minimum of 1 year of accounting experience is required
• A post-graduate diploma or degree in either business administration or accounting is required
• Experience using large accounting ERP is a strong asset
• Strong communication is required for this role
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team
