We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a Contract to permanent position with responsibilities centered around billing, accounts payable, and financial tracking. The role involves working with spreadsheets, creating and managing PDFs, and utilizing advanced Excel functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with grant requirements. Job Responsibility:
Process accounts payable transactions, including review and approval of invoices
Create and merge PDF documents using Adobe tools to streamline billing operations
Manage and maintain financial records, ensuring compliance with grant regulations
Utilize Excel formulas, pivot tables, and vlookups to analyze financial data and generate reports
Collaborate with team members to track billing and reconcile accounts
Assist with grant-related accounting tasks, ensuring proper allocation of funds
Handle manual data entry and document management tasks with precision
Support the preparation of financial documentation for audits and compliance reviews
Address billing discrepancies and follow up with vendors as necessary
Contribute to a collaborative team environment while maintaining high attention to detail
Requirements:
Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and vlookups
Experience with Adobe tools, including creating and editing PDFs
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive tasks accurately
Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and vendors
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with on-site availability for the first 90 days
Nice to have:
Familiarity with grant accounting or compliance is preferred but not required
Previous experience in a non-profit or similar industry is a plus
