We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Portland, Maine. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in records. Job Responsibility:
Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate payments and proper documentation
Maintain and update accounts payable and accounts receivable records
Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial transactions and generate reports
Perform accurate data entry to maintain organized financial records
Reconcile discrepancies in invoices and resolve any payment issues
Collaborate with team members to improve financial workflows and processes
Prepare periodic financial summaries and reports for management review
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
Respond to inquiries related to accounting matters in a timely manner
Requirements:
Proven experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
