We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support financial operations for a contract assignment based in Spokane Valley, Washington. This Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage day-to-day accounting activities with accuracy, maintain organized financial records, and help keep reporting current. The right candidate will be comfortable working with QuickBooks and handling core bookkeeping functions across payables, receivables, and account reconciliations.
Job Responsibility
Record and maintain financial transactions in QuickBooks to ensure books remain accurate and up to date
Process vendor invoices, issue payments on schedule, and monitor outstanding accounts payable balances
Prepare customer billing, post incoming payments, and follow up on receivables to support steady cash flow
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies by reviewing account activity and supporting documentation
Organize financial records and maintain clear documentation for routine accounting and reporting needs
Assist with periodic financial reporting by compiling transaction details and verifying account accuracy
Requirements
Experience performing full-cycle bookkeeping duties in a business environment
Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence navigating daily accounting tasks within the system
Hands-on knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct posting discrepancies
Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accurate and organized records
Clear communication skills and a dependable approach to contract-based work
