We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract with the possibility of becoming a permanent position in Midland, Texas. You will play a key role in supporting office operations and contributing to financial accuracy and efficiency.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Perform routine data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records
  • Process invoices and reconcile discrepancies with vendors or customers
  • Assist in conducting audits to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Collaborate on insurance renewals and handle related documentation
  • Research and resolve financial inquiries and discrepancies as needed
  • Support the addition and management of new assets within the company's financial records
  • Participate in software testing and provide feedback during system customization phases
  • Work closely with leadership to streamline office operations and improve efficiency

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or administrative roles
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks
  • Ability to handle invoice processing and resolve discrepancies effectively
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with office management or previous experience in a similar role is preferred
