We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract with the possibility of becoming a permanent position in Midland, Texas. You will play a key role in supporting office operations and contributing to financial accuracy and efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Perform routine data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records
Process invoices and reconcile discrepancies with vendors or customers
Assist in conducting audits to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting
Collaborate on insurance renewals and handle related documentation
Research and resolve financial inquiries and discrepancies as needed
Support the addition and management of new assets within the company's financial records
Participate in software testing and provide feedback during system customization phases
Work closely with leadership to streamline office operations and improve efficiency
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or administrative roles
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks
Ability to handle invoice processing and resolve discrepancies effectively
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with office management or previous experience in a similar role is preferred
