This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering stability and growth potential within a collaborative accounting department. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, data entry, and reconciliations. The compensation is up to $60,000 annually, depending on experience. Previous accounting or clerical experience required.
Job Responsibility
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Enter and verify financial data with a high level of accuracy
Assist with bank and account reconciliations
Support month-end close and journal entry preparation
Maintain organized financial records and documentation
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Assist with audit support and reporting needs
Requirements
1 to 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience
Basic understanding of accounting principles (AP/AR, debits/credits)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas)
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
