Job Description:

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a team in Miami, Florida in a contract-to-permanent position. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable supporting day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. The person in this position will help maintain accurate financial records, support purchasing and invoicing activities, and contribute to smooth administrative workflows while handling sensitive information with discretion.

Job Responsibility:

  • Enter and maintain accounting records with a high degree of accuracy to support reliable financial reporting and job cost tracking
  • Review purchase order documentation for completeness and correctness before processing
  • Process invoices and related financial paperwork in a timely manner
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
  • Carry out administrative assignments efficiently
  • Protect confidential financial and operational information
  • Coordinate daily priorities effectively to meet multiple deadlines
  • Use accounting systems such as QuickBooks and QuickBooks Desktop

Requirements:

  • Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are required
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and data entry is required
  • Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills are essential
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work within established timelines is required
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary
  • 1 to 2 years of accounting or closely related experience
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 pounds

Nice to have:

Familiarity with accounting software, including experience with QuickBooks or QuickBooks Desktop
