The Accounting Clerk supports the accounting team with day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring records are accurate, organized, and up to date. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is detail‑oriented and looking to build hands‑on experience in core accounting functions.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Enter invoices, payments, and expense data into the accounting system
Maintain accurate General Ledger support documentation
Reconcile vendor statements and assist with resolving discrepancies
Support month‑end close preparation and basic reconciliations
Maintain organized financial records and filing systems
Assist with audit and reporting requests as needed
Perform administrative accounting tasks to support the team
Requirements:
1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience
Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits/credits)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic spreadsheets
Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines
Nice to have:
Experience using accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)
Coursework toward a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Prior experience in an office or accounting support role
