We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join an organized office in Bountiful, Utah. This position supports day-to-day accounting operations while helping maintain accurate financial records, organized client documentation, and efficient administrative processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable balancing bookkeeping duties with client-facing support in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Record financial transactions and maintain accounting entries that support accurate reporting and statement preparation
Reconcile bank activity by reviewing balances, researching discrepancies, and ensuring records are current
Process payroll on schedule and assist with preparing required quarterly payroll filings
Provide support for the preparation of individual and business tax documents by organizing information and assisting with related administrative tasks
Oversee client file maintenance by keeping records complete, orderly, and up to date
Coordinate the collection and tracking of client documents to help ensure timely follow-up and accurate processing
Enter financial and administrative data into company systems with a high level of accuracy
Assist senior team members with office support tasks that contribute to smooth daily operations
Help maintain an organized office environment, including document handling, incoming mail, and client drop-off coordination
Perform notary-related duties when licensed, with employer support available for obtaining certification if needed
Requirements:
Experience with bookkeeping, general accounting support, or a similar clerical accounting role
Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing
Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence using accounting or office software
Strong data entry skills with close attention to accuracy and detail
Ability to manage confidential financial and client information professionally
Comfortable handling multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in an office setting
Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach when assisting clients and internal staff
