We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a team in the Professional Services industry located in Burlington, ON.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with daily accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, data entry, and reconciliation
Prepare and maintain various financial spreadsheets and reports, utilizing advanced functions in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) for data analysis and reporting
Process and reconcile bank and credit card statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner
Support the month-end closing procedures by preparing journal entries and assisting with general ledger account analysis
Organize and maintain electronic and physical financial records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
Requirements:
A post-graduate diploma or degree in either business administration or accounting is required
A minimum of 1 year of accounting experience is required including full-cycle AP and AR
Strong Excel proficiency is required
Strong communication is required for this role
Must be able to wear multiple hats and shift priorities throughout the day
