Job Description:

The Accounting Clerk encompasses a broad range of job duties, all of which facilitate the smooth operation of the company. The Accounting Clerk duties include clerical and general administrative functions. The Accounting Clerk is under the supervision of the Assistant Controller and Controller.

Job Responsibility:

Review route paperwork and checks for accuracy
process checks for deposit
distribute mail and emailed invoices
process inventory and expense payable invoices ensuring payments are made within terms
other general accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Previous clerical or accounting clerk experience
Microsoft Office experience required
intermediate excel and work skills
basic accounting and mathematical knowledge
excellent communication with all levels of staff
ability to meet deadlines and multi-task productively
detail oriented and strong organization skills
work well both independently and as part of a team
ability to maintain confidentiality
must be able to work well under pressure
proven experience in accounts payable or similar financial roles
proficiency in accounting software, including Oracle, SAP, and QuickBooks
strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
familiarity with invoice processing and coding procedures
ability to perform account reconciliations with precision
excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
effective communication skills for resolving discrepancies
knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
