We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in Toledo, Ohio. This part-time role, working 20 hours per week, involves managing accounts payable and receivable processes, performing administrative tasks, and supporting financial reconciliation activities. As a contract-to-permanent position, this opportunity offers the potential for long-term growth within our organization.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and process invoices for accounts receivable, applying payments and handling deposits accurately
Enter and reconcile invoices for accounts payable, including freight cost accruals, purchase orders, and manual entries
Create payment lists by selecting invoices based on due dates and prepare reports for approval
Process payments efficiently, including issuing checks and handling electronic transactions
Reconcile internal production settlements and submit detailed summary reports
Assist with month-end financial close activities, including journal entries and generating reports
Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, scanning, archiving, and correspondence support
Manage office supplies procurement and assist with travel arrangements and reservations
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
Provide cross-training support across sales, marketing, scheduling, and logistics functions
Requirements:
Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage invoice processing and payment reconciliation
Familiarity with generating financial reports and dashboards
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Solid understanding of journal entries and general accounting principles
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies
