We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in Bethesda, Maryland. This is a contract position requiring someone with attention to detail and expertise in managing financial data and tax-related tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in QuickBooks and experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.
Job Responsibility:
Input and manage tax-related information accurately within QuickBooks
Process invoices and ensure timely payments and reconciliations
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
Review and verify data entries to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist in preparing individual tax returns and related financial tasks
Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve issues
Generate financial reports and summaries as required
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Experience with data entry and invoice processing
Ability to prepare and review individual tax returns
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with accounting practices and regulations
