Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Akron, Ohio, on a long-term contract basis. This position is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth processing of accounts payable and receivable tasks.

Job Responsibility:

Perform accurate data entry and updates for customer master records
Monitor and maintain the integrity and compliance of customer data
Assist with processing invoices, payments, and related tasks
Organize, analyze, and manage financial data using spreadsheet tools
Work closely with team members to support vendor management activities
Follow established financial policies and procedures
Promptly identify and resolve discrepancies in data or financial records
Leverage Microsoft Excel tools for detailed reporting and data analysis
Maintain high attention to detail to detect and rectify errors in financial documentation

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field
Basic knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Proficiency in data entry with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Familiarity with spreadsheet management and Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Nice to have:

Experience in vendor management
Prior exposure to the manufacturing industry
