We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily finance and administrative activities for a long-term contract opportunity in Dallas, Texas. This part-time hybrid role will work approximately 15 to 20 hours per week and partner closely with the Controller to help maintain accurate records, organize incoming financial documentation, and assist with routine accounting operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable handling a variety of clerical accounting tasks with accuracy and professionalism.
Job Responsibility:
Process checks received through the mail and prepare them for timely deposit
Digitize incoming invoices and upload them into the company’s accounting records system for tracking and processing
Organize, scan, and maintain financial correspondence and supporting documents, including tax-related notices and statements
Confirm that approved customer refund documentation is properly recorded and attached within internal accounting files
Examine employee expense submissions in Expensify to verify receipt compliance and approve accurate reports
Gather supporting receipts and prepare expense reports for company-issued accounting and finance credit cards
Perform data entry and record maintenance tasks to support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
Assist the accounting and finance team with additional clerical and operational duties as assigned
Requirements:
Prior experience in an accounting support, bookkeeping, or administrative finance role
Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice handling, and accurate data entry practices
Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office 365, including spreadsheets, word processing, email, and related business applications
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and maintain detailed filing systems
Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and meet deadlines in a part-time hybrid environment
Solid written and verbal communication skills with a detail-focused approach to collaboration
Comfort working with confidential financial information and maintaining accuracy in recordkeeping
