Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and supporting various accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a non-profit organization while growing your career in accounting.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting systems
Process payments, including handling credit card transactions and online payment platforms
Manage accounts receivable by tracking incoming payments and resolving discrepancies
Address customer inquiries and provide assistance related to financial matters
Enter financial data efficiently and ensure the integrity of all information
Assist in reconciling accounts to support compliance and accuracy
Work collaboratively with team members to enhance accounting procedures
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
Perform administrative tasks related to accounting operations as required

Requirements:

Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software
Strong skills in accurate data entry and financial recordkeeping
Ability to process invoices efficiently and correctly
Excellent problem-solving skills to address payment discrepancies
Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy
