Our client has an immediate need for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day administrative and light accounting functions in a growing, process-driven environment. This is a long-term contract role expected to run through 2027, with a strong possibility of conversion to permanent at that time. This position is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and some accounting exposure who values consistency, structure, and reliability.
Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative support across accounting operations
Assist with Accounts Payable processing, including debits and credits
Support payroll processing and timekeeping reports
Prepare AP vouchers using Excel
Track employee hours and maintain time matrix records
Assist with bi-weekly payroll cycles and reporting
Support check runs on the 1st and 15th
Email, open, and print vouchers for processing and approvals
Scan, file, and maintain accounting documentation
Route items for review and matching as needed
Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
Assist with deposits (no access to bank accounts)
Requirements:
Administrative background with light accounting experience
Strong attention to detail and organization
Comfortable working in a structured, repetitive environment
Ability to meet deadlines and manage recurring tasks
Professional communication and follow-through
Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
Experience working onsite in a collaborative office setting
