We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a busy team on a contract-to-permanent basis. This opportunity is well suited for someone with early-career accounting experience or entry-level accounting experience, with hands-on exposure to QuickBooks and an interest in detail-oriented financial work. The person in this role will help reduce a high volume of outstanding accounting tasks while supporting day-to-day audit and transaction processing activities.
Job Responsibility
Process incoming invoices accurately and enter financial data into accounting records in a timely manner
Assist with both payables and receivables activities, including tracking outstanding items and updating account information
Use QuickBooks to maintain organized financial records, review transactions, and support routine accounting operations
Provide administrative and transactional support to the audit team by gathering documentation and preparing records for review
Reconcile accounting information to identify discrepancies and help resolve open issues efficiently
Manage high-volume data entry while maintaining accuracy and consistency across financial documents
Organize and maintain invoice files, payment records, and other supporting documentation for accounting activities
Requirements
1-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical finance experience, or recent academic training in accounting with relevant practical exposure
Working knowledge of QuickBooks in an internship or academic setting, with careful attention to detail
Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Strong data entry skills with careful attention to accuracy and deadlines
Familiarity with invoice handling, recordkeeping, and financial document organization
Ability to support audit-related tasks by locating, reviewing, and preparing documentation
Effective communication skills and the ability to work through a large volume of pending work in an organized manner
