Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a company in Del Mar, CA. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with experience supporting day-to-day accounting operations, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records. The Accounting Clerk will assist with a variety of clerical and accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Enter financial data into accounting systems with accuracy
Reconcile bank statements, invoices, and account records
Assist with billing, collections, and payment processing
Maintain organized accounting files and supporting documentation
Prepare and post journal entries as needed
Support month-end close activities and account reconciliations
Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments
Help ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed
Requirements
1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related clerical experience
Basic understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Associate degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
Nice to have
Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar platforms
Familiarity with invoicing, billing, and financial recordkeeping
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
