A well-established wholesale distributor of heavy equipment in Coquitlam is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their close-knit team. This is a unique "contract-to-permanent" opportunity, allowing you to showcase your skills during a 90-day introductory period before transitioning into a long-term permanent role with the company. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys a mix of high-volume data entry and complex, manual problem-solving.

Job Responsibility:

  • Complex Invoicing: Handling 30–40 highly customized invoices per day, requiring precise matching of purchases with sales
  • Full-Cycle AP/AR: Posting payables and receivables, managing billing cycles, ensuring accurate data entry
  • Inventory Coordination: Working with sales and distribution teams to ensure wholesale orders are billed correctly
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Providing administrative assistance to the senior accountant and reporting to the Finance Manager

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in an AP/AR or General Accounting role
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage 50
  • Intermediate Excel using VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • Eager to learn, asks questions, attention to detail
  • Consistent on-site attendance
