Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk II to join our team in Glendale Heights, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position that requires a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to handle accounts payable operations with precision and efficiency. The role involves working on-site and collaborating closely with a small, dynamic team to support financial processes.

Job Responsibility:

Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
Handle invoicing tasks, including verifying details such as sales tax, pricing, and order information
Issue approximately 50 checks weekly, totaling over $300,000, while maintaining compliance with company policies
Collaborate with suppliers to address discrepancies and maintain positive relationships
Ensure proper account coding and entry into accounting systems
Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to streamline financial operations
Monitor and audit accounts payable processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
Assist with accrual accounting procedures and automated clearing house (ACH) transactions
Support the team in maintaining organized and efficient financial records
Provide input and expertise to optimize accounts payable functions

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles
Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP and ADP
Strong knowledge of account coding and accrual accounting principles
Familiarity with tools such as Concur for expense management
Ability to handle high-volume invoicing and payment processing
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for supplier interactions
Capability to work effectively in a small team environment
