Job Description:

Accounting Assistant role at IKEA Pasay City ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and supporting store accounting operations in a fast-paced retail environment

Job Responsibility:

Ensure daily sales reconciliations are completed accurately and on time
Ensure all posted amounts in statements are properly supported by valid documents
Investigate and validate material discrepancies in coordination with Cash Office and Customer Relations
Prepare monthly cash discrepancy report
Generate localized reports each month for archiving
Prepare and ensure accuracy of eSales file for monthly BIR submission
Reconcile monthly General Ledger (GL) accounts
Assist Store Accounting Manager in preparing monthly reports and audit schedules
Handle archiving of accounting documents
Perform other ad hoc tasks related to accounting and finance

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related course
Knowledgeable about local legislation and corporate requirements for documentation and archiving
At least two years of work experience in retail industry using computerized accounting system
Fluent in both Filipino and English
Good computer literacy
Great attention to detail
Ability to work independently while being effective team player in multinational environment
Capable of performing well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
Ability to manage multiple tasks and set clear priorities
Ability to thrive in fast-paced work environment
