We are looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team in Mountain View, California. Job Responsibility:
Perform monthly reconciliations for multiple bank accounts to ensure financial accuracy
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with efficiency
Prepare and distribute owner statements and direct deposits in a timely manner
Generate financial reports, including those related to taxes, payroll, retirement accounts, and worker's compensation
Handle payroll processes for office staff and apartment managers
Maintain and balance property accounts to ensure proper financial tracking
Prepare quarterly distributions for specific property accounts
Complete journal entries and ensure accurate recordkeeping for internal and external review
Communicate effectively with owners and external stakeholders regarding financial matters
Manage year-end tasks, including the preparation of vendor and owner 1099s and filing of annual reports
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is required
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a real estate setting
Proficiency in Yardi cloud-based software, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively
Reliable, adaptable, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Experience with bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll systems like ADP, and QuickBooks
