We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Danvers, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations and administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in handling financial and administrative responsibilities.
Job Responsibility:
Reconcile financial accounts, including bank statements, to ensure accuracy and completeness
Manage invoicing processes and ensure timely delivery to clients
Record and organize incoming bills, maintaining proper documentation for reference
Prepare and draft fee letters for internal and external communications
Take detailed meeting notes to support team collaboration and decision-making
Process purchase orders and ensure compliance with company guidelines
Review the general ledger (GL) for consistency and accuracy in financial records
Perform accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tasks
Utilize QuickBooks to manage and track financial data effectively
Code invoices accurately to align with organizational standards
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions
Strong ability to perform bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy
Proficiency in QuickBooks for financial management and reporting
Skilled in coding invoices and maintaining organized records
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to take thorough meeting notes and assist with administrative tasks
Knowledge of general ledger (GL) review and analysis
Effective communication skills for drafting fee letters and collaborating with team members
