The Accounting Assistant supports the accounting department with daily financial operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. This role involves maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and assisting with audits and budgeting activities. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers and accounting software.
Job Responsibility:
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger entries
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Maintain and update accounting records, spreadsheets, and databases
Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, and statements to clients or internal departments
Support payroll processing and maintain related documentation (if applicable)
Communicate with vendors and employees to resolve billing or payment discrepancies
Assist with budget tracking and financial forecasting
Support external audits by organizing documentation and responding to requests
Perform general clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management
Requirements:
Associate degree or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
1–2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping (internships included)
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to have:
Experience with Microsoft Business Central
Knowledge of payroll procedures and tax regulations
Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports
