We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant on a contract basis in Westminster, Vermont. This role requires strong organizational skills and proficiency in data management to support the accounting team effectively. The ideal candidate will excel at handling data entry, reconciliations, and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across operations.
Job Responsibility:
Accurately input and update financial data into relevant systems
Perform reconciliations to ensure data consistency and resolve discrepancies
Utilize Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP, to analyze and track financial information
Generate reports and provide insights based on data analysis
Assist with administrative tasks to support the accounting team
Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions
Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow efficiency
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures
Provide timely updates and documentation for ongoing projects
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
Proficiency in data entry with high attention to detail
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP functionality
Experience with data reconciliation and reporting
Solid organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with accounting principles and practices
