Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant for a temporary assignment with the potential to become a temp-to-hire position. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable accounting experience and build your career.
Job Responsibility:
Perform reconciliations for various accounts
Prepare and submit check deposits to the bank
Provide general ledger (GL) support, including data entry and account maintenance
Process accounts payable (AP) invoices and payments
Assist with annual 1099 preparation and reporting
Support annual audits with documentation and responses to auditor requests
Manage invoicing and billing tasks
Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and timely completion of accounting processes
Requirements:
3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (D365 required)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage confidential financial information
AA degree in accounting or related field preferred
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics (D365) is required
Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Ability to code invoices and manage confidential financial data
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Nice to have:
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks is an advantage
