We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Assistant to join our team in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to contribute to vital accounting functions in a dynamic construction environment. The role focuses on credit card reconciliation, expense tracking, and administrative support, requiring strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Job Responsibility:
Perform credit card reconciliations for a large group of field employees, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Collect, organize, and track receipts, both physical and electronic, to maintain proper documentation
Engage with employees to follow up on missing or incomplete records, ensuring compliance with company policies
Assist in data entry tasks and manage certificate of insurance tracking to support project operations
Provide administrative support for general accounting tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Utilize Foundation Software and Microsoft Excel to manage accounting processes efficiently
Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain high volumes of paper-based documentation
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
Conduct bank reconciliations and accurately code invoices for timely processing
Facilitate expense management activities to ensure accurate financial reporting
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
Proficiency in credit card reconciliation and expense management
Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions
Experience with bank reconciliations and invoice coding
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage high volumes of documentation
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with field employees and team members
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Foundation Software
Nice to have:
Knowledge of construction accounting practices is a plus
