We are looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team in Wilton, Connecticut. This Contract to permanent position offers a dynamic opportunity for individuals who excel in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting practices and a keen attention to detail.
Job Responsibility:
Manage accounts payable processes, including coding and processing invoices efficiently
Oversee accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection
Perform accurate bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
Utilize QuickBooks to track and organize financial data effectively
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures in daily tasks
Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies in financial records
Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports as required
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation for review
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable and receivable
Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting software
Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes
Ability to code and process invoices with accuracy
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with internal teams
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
