Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Groveport, Ohio. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to support key financial operations while working collaboratively with a dynamic team. The role involves managing fixed assets, budgets, and assisting with critical accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial activities.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain and update the organization’s fixed assets and budgets with accuracy
Process invoices efficiently to ensure timely payments
Prepare and record journal entries related to fixed assets
Support monthly financial closing activities by reconciling accounts and preparing reports
Conduct specialized accounting analyses to provide valuable insights for management
Generate reports on asset additions and disposals to support annual appraisals
Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes as needed
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless integration of accounting functions

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
Proficiency in accounting software such as ADP, CaseWare, and Concur
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
Strong knowledge of core accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable
Experience with bank reconciliation and auditing processes
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
