Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Owings Mills, Maryland. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting essential accounting functions. Job Responsibility:

Record and post journal entries in NetSuite to ensure the accuracy of financial data
Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies
Investigate and clear outstanding checks in a timely manner
Assist with coding invoices and maintaining organized financial records
Support the team by entering data accurately into accounting systems
Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting tasks
Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards in all financial activities
Collaborate with other team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Hands-on experience with NetSuite for journal entries and data management
Strong skills in coding invoices and maintaining financial accuracy
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles and their application
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
