We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day operations for a team based in Sheboygan, WI. The person in this role will contribute across payables, receivables, inventory-related accounting tasks, and administrative support while ensuring accuracy in financial data.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee incoming invoices and outgoing payments while helping maintain timely and accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable activity
Assist with billing support, payment tracking, and follow-up tasks to help keep account balances current and well documented
Help reduce outstanding backlogs by organizing records, resolving open items, and supporting daily administrative operations
Participate in weekly inventory accounting activities, including reviewing product costing details and processing necessary adjustments
Reconcile account information and investigate discrepancies to support accurate financial reporting
Maintain organized financial files and update accounting data carefully to preserve record accuracy and consistency
Support routine accounting cycle activities and provide general assistance to the broader office as needed
Requirements:
Strong Excel skills with the ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets, formulas, and financial data
Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and general accounting support
Ability to perform account reconciliations and manage detailed transactional records with a high degree of accuracy
Self-directed work style with strong attention to detail and the ability to remain productive in a structured setting
Proven initiative, sound organizational habits, and an interest in building long-term accounting skills
