Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. This long-term contract role is perfect for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles and an aptitude for managing financial transactions. You will play a key role in supporting our accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Job Responsibility

  • Process and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions with precision
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolve discrepancies
  • Utilize QuickBooks to maintain and update financial records consistently
  • Code invoices and verify their accuracy before processing payments
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries as needed
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to address and resolve billing issues
  • Maintain organized records of all financial documents and transactions
