Our client in Berlin, Connecticut is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant for a contract opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of basic accounting functions, and the ability to support a busy finance team in a fast-paced office environment.
Job Responsibility
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Enter and maintain accurate financial data in accounting systems
Reconcile invoices, statements, and other financial records
Support month-end closing activities and reporting
Process payments, expense reports, and account updates
Maintain organized and accurate accounting files and documentation
Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding billing and payment questions
Provide general administrative support to the accounting team as needed
Requirements
Previous experience in an accounting assistant, bookkeeping, or similar support role
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Experience with accounting software is a plus
