Job Description

For one of our client based close to the German border, we are looking for : Accounting Assistant / Accounts Payable (M/F/D)(Temporary Assignment). Job Summary: To provide temporary support within our client accounting department, we are seeking a bilingual (German/English) Accounting Assistant. Your primary focus will be managing the accounts payable process, from invoice verification through to processing and data entry, ensuring seamless administrative and accounting support to the existing team.

Job Responsibility

  • Invoice Verification: Check incoming invoices for compliance, accuracy, and alignment with purchase orders or internal delivery notes
  • Invoice Processing: Ensure precise and timely data entry and booking of invoices into the company's accounting software
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve invoice discrepancies or billing issues in coordination with internal departments and suppliers
  • Administrative Support: Assist the accounting team with general administrative tasks, archiving, and ad-hoc duties as required during the assignment

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience in accounting is required, with a strong emphasis on invoice verification, processing, or accounts payable functions
  • Language Skills:*German: Fluent/Native level is mandatory
  • English: Fluent/Professional proficiency is mandatory (both written and spoken)
  • Technical Skills:*Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel)
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Navision, Oracle) is highly advantageous
  • Key Attributes: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and quick adaptability to a new work environment
